Microsoft's AI Platform organization is looking to develop technologies that will revolutionize how people interact with each other and their environments, and they need a Senior Product Designer to design agentic experiences for developers.
Requirements
- 1+ years experience applying AI domain knowledge (including generative AI and AI agents) to real-world product or service design
- 3+ years technical engineering experience and familiar with HTML, CSS, JS/TS, Python and comfortable with React and/or Web Components
- 5+ years experience in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with examples of high-quality design artifacts produced (e.g., diagrams, wireframes, mockups)
- Familiarity with front end development frameworks and languages
- Experience with design systems, patterns, and guidelines
- Experience with AI prototyping tools such as Vercel
- Experience with React and/or Web Components
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PM, Engineering, and Research partners to define and iterate on product features from concept to delivery
- Produce design artifacts across fidelities (e.g., wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, high-fidelity visuals, redlines) using Figma, Vercel, and other AI prototyping tools
- Contributes to use and adoption of design systems, patterns, and guidelines to ensure scalable and consistent experiences
- Partners with developers during implementation to refine details and ensure designs meet specifications
- Leverages expertise in front end development frameworks and languages to create solutions for our target audience and to better collaborate with front end development partners
- Create quick prototypes to test ideas, gather feedback, and iterate effectively
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and new technologies, and share learnings with the team
Other
- Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)
- Strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines (Design, PM, Engineering, Research)
- Ability to communicate design ideas and decisions clearly to design team, key stakeholders, and organization leaders
