Datadog is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of a new product for GPU Monitoring, helping define best practices within the rapidly evolving industry of AI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in digital product design, with familiarity or strong interest in the platform/software delivery/observability/security industries
- Proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applications
- Strong research and analytical skills, solving users' problems and needs
- Proficient in prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Principle, Framer)
- Understanding of systems thinking and component-based design patterns
- Experience with designing for web applications
Responsibilities
- Design GPU Monitoring products focusing on enabling SREs and to visualize their GPU infrastructure, identify and resolve issues, proactively optimize process performance and costs, and create GPU workload-specific views to enable new ML engineers to manage their usage
- Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
- See design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better
- Communicate design work and the support for design decisions across the company
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how designs will be built
- Mentor designers on the team to do their best work
- Use prototyping tools proficiently to visualize designs throughout the process
