Requirements
- Proficient in Figma (and optionally Framer or similar tools) to design, prototype, and iterate with speed and precision
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1)
- Experience working on cross-functional product teams and shipping at scale
- A portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, elegant interaction design, and polished UI craft
- 4+ years of experience designing and shipping outstanding digital products—ideally including commerce, content platforms, or media experiences
- Familiar with commerce design patterns and micro-interactions that enhance decision-making and conversion
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of content-focused commerce experiences across Yahoo
- Craft content experiences that are informative, shoppable, and trustworthy
- Design modular, scalable components and patterns that work across different content surfaces and product verticals
- Prototype at varying fidelities to explore concepts, validate user flows, and communicate design intent effectively
- Work with researchers to uncover insights and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Contribute to design systems and pattern libraries, ensuring consistency across commerce-related surfaces
- Proactively explore emerging AI tools and best practices and use them to elevate your process and outcomes
Other
- 4+ years of experience designing and shipping outstanding digital products
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and design thoughtful experiences from scratch or within complex ecosystems
- A clear communicator who can advocate for users and influence decision-making with logic and empathy
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or equivalent practical experience
