Uber Eats is looking to improve the Shopper Experience for earners and couriers to pick, pack, and deliver grocery and retail items purchased on their marketplace

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods
  • Experience working and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a tech environment
  • Shipped many successful software products, ideally both desktop and mobile
  • Demonstrates long-term thinking around strategic and business-focused activities
  • Proficient in storytelling, advocating for user needs, and articulating rationale for design work
  • Proven ability to simplify complex problems with strategic thinking
  • Experienced in prototyping and interaction design, with demonstrated experience in motion design and growing expertise in bringing interfaces to life

Responsibilities

  • Own design problems from the initial concept through to shipping and beyond
  • Create wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes to address complex UX problems
  • Facilitate or participate in design sprints, critiques, and collaborative workshops to generate and validate ideas
  • Define success metrics and continuously measure the impact of your work
  • Identify future opportunities and work as a key thought partner with your counterparts in product, engineering, and operations
  • Think systematically to make experiences as scalable as they are elegant and delightful
  • Partner with our UX research team to better understand our customers' needs

Other

  • 5+ years of experience designing mobile-first products
  • A portfolio showing your high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with product designers, engineers, brand, and marketing to ensure both functional clarity and emotional connection
  • Solid understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design
  • Ability to work in an office setting, with at least half of work time spent in the assigned office
