United Legwear & Apparel Co. is looking for a Senior Product Developer to manage the development and costing of key product categories with overseas factories, ensuring high-quality standards, cost management, and timely delivery.
Requirements
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office and Adobe, database systems, email and internet.
- Experience working with external 3rd party manufacturing partners a plus.
Responsibilities
- Communicates daily with overseas vendors on all product development matters.
- Plans and coordinates development activities to ensure timely completion (submittals, sampling, etc).
- Assist in the process from seasonal development of product to manufacturing process.
- Ensures design vision and product integrity standards are met while adhering to the product development calendar
- Develops best practices to optimize product development procedures.
- Maintains consistency and accuracy of information flow between design, development and overseas vendors.
- Partner with manager to understand vendor strategy and support factory allocations and development process for all styles and coordinates with management to make critical decisions related to development & production.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion or related area and a minimum 3+ years of experience in apparel product development.
- Excellent written and verbal skills as required for effective interpersonal communication with clients and other employees.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workload seamlessly with keen attention to detail and follow-up.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the company.
