Medtronic's Diabetes Operating Unit is seeking a Senior Product Development Project Management Specialist to ensure best-in-class new product development practices as a competitive advantage for the business, aiming for successful implementation of strategic product development programs.
Requirements
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Experience in product development of drug delivery devices, preferably insulin delivery devices
- Strong project management skills with experience effectively and efficiently executing against project contracts; knowledge of process and project planning best practices.
- Experience in leading within matrix organizations requiring strong influence management skills
- Effective decision-making skills with ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments and willingness to make tough decisions
- Experience devising and implementing streamlined processes and strategic programs to improve efficiency, timeliness, and productivity
- A change agent with the willingness and ability to lead and institute change
Responsibilities
- Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project's key stakeholders.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4+ years medical product development, program management or other relevant experience OR Advanced Degree and minimum of 2+ years medical product development, program management or other relevant experience
