Requirements
- Strong understanding of battery technologies, including cell, module, and pack design principles.
- Proven experience in design support and product troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in root cause analysis tools and methodologies (TBP, FTA, etc.).
- Design evaluation experience (DRBFM, DFMEA, etc.).
- Process evaluation experience (QAN, PFMEA, etc.).
- Proficiency with engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, data analysis software).
- Experience with electric vehicle battery systems and related standards.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate collaboration between design and manufacturing teams to support design intent and manufacturability of battery cells, modules, and packs.
- Lead product investigations and provide technical support when process/quality engineers face challenges meeting design requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve product-related issues.
- Support testing and validation activities to ensure product compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on manufacturing feedback and product performance data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Research and Development (R&D), quality assurance, supply chain, and process engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the department.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering or related field, preferably in battery manufacturing or automotive components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
