3M is looking to solve the problem of expanding and managing product and process understanding for assigned products, leading product changes, and supporting process changes, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline
- Two (2) combined years of product and/or process engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Two (2) years of statistical analysis experience
- Five (5) years experience in product and/or process engineering
- Two (2) years experience with pressure sensitive adhesive products
- Experience collaborating with laboratory and manufacturing colleagues in other regions of the world
Responsibilities
- Expanding and managing our product and process understanding for assigned products
- Leading product changes and supporting process changes. Ensuring they are carried out with full knowledge of the implications and according to change control procedures
- Supporting the manufacturing plants in raw material changes, dual sourcing, cost saving and supply interruption prevention projects protecting a large global business
- Creating, reviewing, approving and owning product standards and test methods to support customer requirements. Driving common product standards across global sites, working with product support teams in other regions
- Assisting the plants with complaint resolution and reduction projects as needed. Using root cause analysis to identify failure modes
- Other duties as assigned

- Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international
