Etnyre International is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to be responsible for the ongoing engineering of their product line, ensuring safety, performance, maintainability, manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- A broad understanding of machine structures, mechanisms, metal fabrication, and other manufacturing processes is also required.
- An understanding of hydraulics, electronics or electrical systems, pneumatics, and machine controls may also be required depending on product line assignment.
- 2-D CAD, 3-D CAD, and Word processing spread sheet experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Develops and documents clear product designs.
- Provides descriptions of components, assemblies, and machines to production and inventory control.
- Performs any necessary mathematical analysis to determine proper design characteristics.
- Monitors the product’s performance and initiates changes as required to advance safety, performance, manufacturability, and improve profit.
- Provides technical assistance to sales and marketing, customer service, production, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, and engineering test/reliability departments.
- Provides technical consultation to other engineering personnel as required.
- Provides leadership and direction to other departments for the product line assigned.
Other
- Some bending and twisting is required.
- Routine duties will occasionally require lifting approximately 10-20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads.)
- All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs.
- The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.
