The Citrix Cloud Platform team needs to identify telemetry needs, instrument products to collect data, and provide data-driven insights to influence business decisions and improve product offerings.

Requirements

  • Must have an understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
  • Knowing how to design and manage a robust data pipeline to ensure data quality, reliability, and security.
  • Understand how to instrument products to collect meaningful telemetry data on user behavior and system performance.
  • The ability to pull and analyze data yourself is crucial.
  • Proficient in SQL to query databases and comfortable with data visualization tools like Power BI, or Looker.
  • Must understand statistical concepts like correlation vs. causation, statistical significance, and how to design and interpret A/B tests.
  • You should be able to "speak the language" of engineers. This includes understanding technical concepts like APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with product managers, and leadership to identify the most important telemetry data points to track based on business goals and product strategy.
  • Translating business questions into measurable telemetry metrics.
  • Working with telemetry teams to extract relevant data from the databases.
  • Cleaning, transforming, and aggregating telemetry data to make it suitable for analysis and reporting.
  • Creating visualizations (charts, graphs, tables) that effectively communicate insights from the telemetry data.
  • Creating ad-hoc reports in Excel and other tools to extract data from databases like SQL.
  • Identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in user behavior and product performance.

Other

  • Education - Engineering degree, MBA or Master's Degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or business administration.
  • Experience in an enterprise software environment: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related field.
  • Ability to present to senior leadership and influence business outcomes.
