The Windows Fundamentals team is looking to take Windows fundamentals to the next level by driving great fundamentals across Windows, empowering teams with tools and platforms to measure, refine, and ship delightful experiences with great fundamentals.
Requirements
- Experience with product fundamentals such as performance, power/battery life, or silicon engagements
- Experience building software products with engineering teams and stakeholders
- Our problem space is often deeply technical. You don’t have to be a perf/power/silicon expert today, but you should have an affinity for technical challenges and diving deep.
Responsibilities
- Drive great fundamentals across Windows by partnering with engineering teams on marquee experiences
- Empower teams with tools and platforms to measure, refine, and ship delightful experiences with great fundamentals
- Invest in optics to understand product truth
- Defend platforms and tools to prevent backsliding
- Go on offense to get ahead of the competition and drive best-in-class product improvements
- Partner across the company with key teams such as Teams, Edge, Office, and Surface, as well as outside the company with silicon partner and Original Equipment Manufacturer
- Define priorities for investment, strategies for product improvement, delivering at scale, and investing in systems and tools to improve fundamentals
