SAS is looking to drive product strategy across the SAS platform with respect to the data scientist and AI engineering experience, and to lead product vision and direction for technologies that enable data scientists to rapidly build machine learning pipelines using low-code and no-code experiences.
Requirements
- Solid working knowledge of modern data science and composite AI methods that combine the strength of statistics, machine learning, and computer science, including model interpretability, inference, and advanced modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with one or more open-source runtimes, packages, and libraries (like Python).
- Understand concepts of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business models.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platform provider technologies.
- Ability to translate complex technical and business information for diverse audiences.
- 8+ years of experience in product management and/or software engineering related to AI and Machine Learning.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in data science, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
Responsibilities
- Develop the vision and roadmap for this product area.
- Define and prioritize product requirements based on business drivers, customer inputs, market needs, and field contributions.
- Define user personas and write use cases.
- Drive product development and collaborate with software development teams based on prioritized requirements and product lifecycle strategy.
- Support product launches by imparting product knowledge to marketing and sales teams.
- Present product vision, roadmap, and software demonstrations to internal constituents, senior management stakeholders, customers, press, analysts, influencers, and others.
- Identify new markets, evaluate emerging technologies, and explore business issues that may present opportunities or threats to the company.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in data science, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in product management and/or software engineering related to AI and Machine Learning.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, global environment across multiple business units.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry analysts.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
