Klaviyo is looking to solve the problem of building products that delight customers and solve meaningful problems by leading the evolution of Klaviyo's API platform, which empowers developers, partners, and technical users to build and integrate seamlessly with Klaviyo.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product management, ideally working on APIs, developer platforms, or data-focused products.
- Strong technical intuition and are comfortable collaborating with engineers and understanding architectural trade-offs.
- Rigorous thinker who enjoys breaking down complex problems and designing elegant, scalable solutions.
- Customer-obsessed, especially about serving developers and technical users.
- Excellent communicator, particularly in writing, and can drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is motivated by solving hard problems with smart, collaborative teams.
- Experience with emerging API standards, developer expectations, and partner needs to keep Klaviyo's APIs modern and competitive.
Responsibilities
- Drive business outcomes by defining and delivering high-impact API capabilities that expand Klaviyo's reach and deepen integration opportunities.
- Own the roadmap for APIs across core domains—prioritizing based on impact, technical feasibility, and customer needs.
- Serve technical users by developing a strong point of view on the needs of developers, partners, and power users working with customer data at scale.
- Partner across the organization, working with other product teams to ensure our APIs are extensible, secure, and built with long-term scalability in mind.
- Manage a product roadmap for Klaviyo's APIs—balancing new feature development, platform investments, and technical debt.
- Write clear, comprehensive specs that break down complex problems into detailed use cases, anticipate edge cases, and ensure a seamless developer experience.
- Work closely with engineering and design to iterate on API design and documentation, ensuring high usability and consistency.
