Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and deliver impactful computer vision and AI-driven features, addressing the challenges of electric vehicles through technology that will set the standards for software-defined vehicles around the world.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and technologies, and how they can apply to create compelling user experiences.
  • Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and edge computing systems/constraints.
  • Experience developing data-driven product proposals and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Experience analyzing visual and AI applications, and specifying HW, SW, and AI requirements.
  • Ability to engage in deep dives into technical topics with engineers across diverse disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle software systems, automotive technologies, and industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for your Computer Vision & AI features and contribute to the definition of the overall computer vision product strategy
  • Develop data-driven justifications and requirements for features, incorporating insights from market and customer research, competitive intelligence, and analysis of technical feasibility and costs.
  • Identify opportunities for new features and enhancements within the driving experience, focusing on automotive vision and AI capabilities.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle of your features from inception to launch and end of life.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, research, program management) to define and document detailed product requirements, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and user needs.
  • Conduct and/or leverage user research and usability testing to inform product decisions and validate product concepts.
  • Track and analyze key product metrics, user feedback, and performance data to measure the success of your features and identify areas for improvement.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with software products incorporating AI/ML or Computer Vision features, ideally on edge devices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse engineering, design, and other stakeholder teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
