Interwell Health is looking to improve the speed and consistency of operational and insight data products by enhancing the tools and techniques used to increase the quality of patient, provider, and payer data.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in complex data management roles within healthcare or healthtech, including significant experience with master data management and healthcare data systems that have at least 100,000 patients and/or 10,000 providers.
  • Deep understanding of patient, provider and payer data in large-scale healthcare systems, master data management, integrations with external systems.
  • Experience with modern data analytics tools/suites like Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, Availity and Lexis Nexis preferred.
  • SQL skills (querying, manipulating data)
  • Experience creating dashboards with Data Visualization tools: E.g. PowerBI, Matplatlib, Seaborn, Plotly, d3.js, Tableau, Looker, Qlik sense
  • Healthcare Data Domain and Data Model Knowledge: Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, FHIR, Claims data formats and coding standards (ie ICD 10), Tuva, OMOP.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the design, development, integration, and management of techniques and tools to fast-forward the time for data availability for business operations and insights across our data services, data analysts, data science, business product and reporting teams.
  • Define and drive the vision for our suite of techniques, tools and systems to drive speed and consistency of operational and insight data products.
  • Oversee the integration of diverse healthcare data sources including HIE, benefits verification, and critical data about patients, providers and payers.
  • Manage wide range of integrations (batch and API-driven) with third-party providers, ensuring seamless data ingestion, business operation and analytical utility.
  • Collaborate with engineering, healthcare insights, and design teams to prioritize, define, and deliver features that enhance data accessibility and usability.
  • Perform, hands-on, exploratory data analysis and prototyping of data products and concepts to accelerate product development time.
  • Ensure all data processes comply with relevant regulations such as HIPAA and are designed with privacy and security at the forefront.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist or Analytics (BI) Engineer is a plus

  • Ability to make inferences about users, business, and product value based on data; understanding the story the data tells and using it to drive decisions
