The Senior Product Owner is responsible for maximizing value produced by the Clinical Quality Management Agile Team by ensuring user stories meet business needs and complying with the Definition of Done. This role serves as the integral connector between business or operational functions and technology, aiming to improve technology that increases the value of products and services to HGB customers.
Requirements
- 5 years of technical experience with product ownership, or product management experience
- Certified SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Manager
Responsibilities
- defining requirements, IT needs, and user stories
- prioritizing the Team Backlog
- ensuring user stories meet the business’ needs and complies with the Definition of Done
- defining and prioritizing requirements, initiatives, and/or user stories with the Agile Team
- preparing and participating in for Program Increments
- maintaining team backlog; iteration planning; accepting user stories; assisting with decision making related to sequencing of work; ensuring and facilitating adequate user testing prior to push to production; and coordinating with other Product Owners as needed
- articulating IT needs and requirements, writing features and stories, works prioritizations, obtains product manager alignment on features, stories, and prioritization, makes critical decisions, and builds the backlog for their product

- Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)
- HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract. We are not able to hire candidates that are currently living in Puerto Rico.
- Bachelor degree
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
- Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
- Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
