The Senior Product Owner is responsible for understanding the business problem and ensuring the solution being built meets the business needs.
Requirements
- Experience with agile development process; certified Agile Product Owner preferred
- Strong analytical, questioning and facilitation skills
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined
- Provide vision and direction to agile development team and stakeholders
- Create and own a prioritized project backlog
- Gather and document business requirements; ensure acceptance criteria is understood
- Collaborate with team leadership on release planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional commercialization team to ensure internal readiness
- Oversee the review and prioritization aspects of production defect management
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, UX design, IT & Business Education, computer science or related area, or equivalent experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role
- 5-8 years related experience
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to build rapport, establish credibility and trust
