PowerSecure needs engineering technical support on MicroGrid equipment including switchgear and generators to ensure safe and effective solutions for customers.
Requirements
- Proficient in reading electrical/mechanical schematics and engineer-of-record drawings.
- Experience with PLCs, generator controllers, protective relays, alternators, and generators.
- Commissioning and field experience required.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical theory and operational theory of switchgear/PowerGen products.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make engineering programming changes to controllers, PLCs, and HMIs.
- Experience leading root cause analysis events.
- NFPA 70 ARC Flash Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering technical support on PowerSecure MicroGrid equipment including switchgear and generators.
- Support complex start-ups and field troubleshooting.
- Provide onsite engineering changes and communicate action items.
- Assist in field retrofit projects and technical documentation.
- Support training teams and escalate critical issues.
- Act as liaison between field and factory engineering teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make engineering programming changes to controllers, PLCs, and HMIs.
Other
- 12+ years of commercial/industrial experience with generators, ATS/switchgear, and paralleling control systems.
- 5+ years of experience in product testing and development.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Up to 45% travel required.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend support.
