Raytheon is seeking a Senior Program Quality Engineer to support Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and production contracts for the Javelin Program, ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements and safeguarding the integration of RTX processes within Raytheon Command Media.

Requirements

  • Working experience with Quality Management Systems, to include ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102.
  • Working experience leading teams in failure and root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Working experience interpreting technical drawings.
  • Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
  • Experience with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or another Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Working experience using resources such as 5S, Root Cause, Process Mapping, Lean Six Sigma (6Sigma).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Javelin Program team, ensuring successful program performance, deliver conforming products/services through effective collaboration and compliance to processes and procedures.
  • Lead integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.
  • Serve as a program quality liaison across customer organizations (Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and United States Government (USG)), as well as relevant factories and engineering labs as first responder for quality issues and concerns related to development and production products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Support supplier quality and supplier engineering efforts to help ensure compliance with the supplier quality plan.
  • Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned. This includes but is not limited to: Peer reviews, Engineering Review/Change Control Board (ERB/CCB) and/or Design reviews.
  • Ensure all development hardware (Engineering, Proof of Design and Proof of Manufacturing) are appropriately documented in the quality history records and align to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.

Other

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
