We are seeking an onsite Senior Program Quality Engineer to serve within the Tomahawk/Maritime Strike Tomahawk Program Quality team to support Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) as well as production contracts ensuring that program goals are accomplished while staying compliant to AS9100 requirements.

Requirements

  • Working experience with Quality Management Systems, to include ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102.
  • Working experience leading teams in failure and root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Working experience interpreting technical drawings.
  • Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository.
  • Experience exercising judgment and making decisions, with appropriate supervisory intervention, as a contributor in a dynamic team environment
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
  • Experience with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or another Continuous Improvement Program.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Tomahawk Program team, ensuring successful program performance, deliver conforming products/services through effective collaboration and compliance to processes and procedures.
  • Guide integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.
  • Serve as a program quality liaison across customer organizations (Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and United States Government (USG)), as well as relevant factories and engineering labs as first responder for quality issues and concerns related to development and production products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Support supplier quality and supplier engineering efforts to help ensure compliance with the supplier quality plan.
  • Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned.
  • Ensure all development hardware (Engineering, Proof of Design and Proof of Manufacturing) are appropriately documented in the quality history records and align to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.

Other

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
  • Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB).
