General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) needs a Program Quality Engineer (PQE) to support quality assurance activities, ensuring products and services meet customer and company quality requirements. The PQE will help identify and mitigate quality risks, assist in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) is a plus.
- Familiarity with quality tools and software, such as statistical analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the defense industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance plans and procedures for assigned programs.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to help integrate quality requirements into product design and production processes.
- Monitor program performance metrics and assist in reporting quality trends and issues to senior management.
- Participate in program reviews and provide quality-related input and recommendations.
- Support customer and regulatory audits, including preparation and follow-up activities.
Other
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
- Department of Defense Secret clearance is preferred at time of hire. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
