ProSidian seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support the DOE Office of River Protection (ORP) in remediating and solving tank cleanup challenges at the Hanford Site, specifically focusing on protecting the Columbia River by safely cleaning up radioactive and chemical waste.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to exhibit knowledge and application of requirements in accordance with DOE Orders, ORP procedures, and the ORP Quality Assurance Program Description for oversight and quality activities.
- Abilities for editing, formatting, Microsoft Office, Excel, digital technical support, Adobe Acrobat, Office Timeline, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat support to the entire ORP staff.
- Support will also include classifying and summarizing information for needed and specific briefings and reports for preparation and submittal and coordinating and ensuring other organizations are kept apprised of current information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
- Positions require appropriate technical competency in writing, editing, and analytical writing or similar skills, the following shall be applicable to all, including:

Responsibilities
- Provide support to the TRS-QAD and Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) in its efforts to manage and oversee the WTP Quality Assurance, Nuclear Safety, Safety, and Health divisions.
- Provide auditor support to the ORP Quality Assurance Division (QAD) as requested, during their performance of ORP and the WTP contractor independent oversight.
- Senior Project Controls Specialists assist and support quality and safety support to TRS-QAD and the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) in the startup and commissioning of the WTP projects and controls.
- Directs, consults, and assists management on organizational strategy, planning, management, and problem-solving issues related to major projects, programs, or technical issues.
- Works at a senior management level to improve major projects and programs.
- Consults on significant organizational or technical problems.
- Offers successful experience in management and technical consulting roles and proven skills in developing plans that yield positive improvements.
Other
- Candidates shall work to support requirements for ORP Site Technical Support Services and provide Quality Assurance Technical support to ORP and function in the role of expert reviewers to manage and oversee the WTP and/or TRS activities in accordance with DOE Orders, ORP procedures, and the ORP Quality Assurance Program.
