Smyth Industries Engineering Division is looking to solve complex problems and build capacity for the future in the water infrastructure industry by hiring a Senior Project Manager with experience in the industry.
Requirements
- 5 years of Water Infrastructure or related industry experience
- 5 years Project Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/construction engineering, or any relevant degree
- Arizona Registered Professional Engineer (PE), Civil/Construction Engineering
- Experience in Procore and Primavera scheduling software
- Water System Planning and Modeling Experience
- Strong knowledge in water and reclamation construction
Responsibilities
- Provides project management on a variety of construction projects simultaneously, from conception through completion
- Oversees the technical work products of staff and field engineers and others performing technical tasks to support water/reclamation projects
- Coordinates with client and project team to develop project proposals/work plans and budgets
- Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress
- Assigns, directs, trains, and reviews the work of engineers and para-professional employees
- Works with the Engineering team to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs
- Develops Project Management systems, processes, and tools and assists in implementation of same across the organization

- Must be able to physically perform all required duties which may include bending, lifting 50-pound objects, carrying 50-pound items, squatting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, working outdoors most of the time, or standing for prolonged periods of time
- Required to wear company supplied Personal Protective Equipment
- The applicant should be comfortable working around industrial equipment
