BELVA AI is looking to solve the problem of liberating individuals from repetitive, manual tasks by building a scalable and reliable backend infrastructure for their AI-centric platform
Requirements
- 7+ years building production-grade backend systems in Python
- Experience working with Django and Celery
- Built and deployed WebSocket and event-based communication layers
- Proficient in at least one NoSQL database
- Solid understanding of best practices in building scalable and performant data access layers (using ORMs and beyond)
- Experience with production monitoring and observability platforms
- Experience with RDBMs at scale
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket-based systems
- Manage and optimize NoSQL-backed data storage for performance and reliability
- Develop backend services for real-time communication, high-throughput ETL, and cross-service orchestration
- Implement monitoring, tracing, and alerting for production systems
- Champion code quality through TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and effective code reviews
- Collaborate with AI and frontend teams to deliver seamless, AI-powered features
- Ensure high standards of performance, security, and maintainability
Other
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder and live in the United States
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or 15+ years of overall software engineering experience)
