Ensuring robust and efficient testing of backend systems and databases for critical applications at Cognizant.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database and backend testing.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and stored procedure testing.
- Proficiency in mocking techniques for database interactions using Mockito, JMock, WireMock, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, or TestNG.
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for test validation.
- Experience in CI/CD automation with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with API testing and backend validation using Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain automation frameworks for backend and database testing.
- Develop functional test cases and automation scripts for backend validation.
- Perform functional and automated regression testing to ensure system stability.

- Participate in daily stand-up calls and provide status updates.
- Manage and mentor offshore testing teams to ensure timely delivery.
