Turner & Townsend is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to support a high-profile data center construction project, overseeing the General Contractor’s construction activities and reporting on schedule status back to the project owner.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of electrical project management experience, ideally in data center construction or with an electrical contractor.
- Experience with substation and power distribution systems preferred.
- Familiarity with MEP design
- Proficiency in project management tools
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in the Data Center Commissioning Process (levels 1 –5 )
- Proficiency managing construction documents including BODs, specifications, contract drawings, C/D/E’s, equipment submittals and RFIs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of electrical construction, from preconstruction through L5 commissioning.
- Oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, and closeout of all mission critical systems, with an emphasis on electrical support.
- Ensure alignment with project goals, client expectations, and quality standards.
- Provide subject matter expertise in electrical systems, including substations, transformers, and power distribution.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and industry standards on field walks as part of QA/QC responsibilities
- Identify project risks and report feedback on mitigation strategies to the General Contractor and owner
- Manage method of procedure (MOP) review, feedback and execution.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
- Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
