The Boeing Company is looking to solve the business problem of ensuring the quality of its Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes and systems, and is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead the NDT quality team and drive strategy execution, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of quality processes and tools, i.e. Root Cause Corrective Action, Control of Nonconforming Material
  • Proficient with utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current or previous ASNT Level II / III certification in one or more NDT methods
  • Familiarity with National Aerospace Standard, NAS410
  • More than 1 year of quality auditing experience
  • Experience in project leadership that led to innovations, performance improvement, or risk mitigations
  • Knowledge of Quality and Lean processes and tools

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small direct report team with matrixed leadership oversight for BDS NDT Quality capability while fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance NDT governance, skill workforce planning / pipeline growth, and industry partnerships
  • Partner across Enterprise business units on improvement initiatives /advancements, strategies for compliance, standardization, and sustainability of skill within Quality
  • Provide effective communication across teams and leader levels on strategies, project execution, risks and mitigations
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts that cultivate innovative solutions to progress NDT execution and solution paths for constraints
  • Provides education, coaching and support for the execution of Quality Management System compliance
  • Interface and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support and promote health of NDT skill improvement
