Johnson & Johnson is seeking to develop the next generation of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments, specifically focusing on cardiovascular solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. The Sr. R&D Software Engineer will contribute to this by designing and implementing embedded software for class II medical devices.
Requirements
- Embedded software development
- Development in C, C++
- Data acquisition in an embedded environment
- Quality systems in a regulated industry
- Version control and issue tracking systems
- Medical device development, including ISO 62304 preferred
- Linux use and development experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software for a class II medical device
- Construction and maintenance of software requirements
- Design and implementation of software interfaces
- Test case development, unit and integration testing
- Leading and participating in design reviews, code reviews and system integration activities
- Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software and documents issues encountered.
- Identifies product design features to support scalability, usability, and improved performance.
Other
- BS degree in software, computer science, electrical engineering or closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Proven execution of formal engineering development processes and compliance to industry standards is required; medical industry experience preferred.
- Possesses a "team player" attitude, takes pride in their work and has excellent communication skills
- Operates independently as a self-starter with high attention to detail
