The Systems Engineering and Test Center's Life Cycle Engineering Directorate is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, and delivered on time. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety and Supportability. As a Senior Reliability Engineer within Life Cycle Engineering at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility, you will play a key role in ensuring product sustainment and mission readiness.

Requirements

  • Experience performing reliability and/or failure prediction analyses.
  • Experience with component service life analysis.
  • Ability to work in the office and laboratory setting.
  • Experience leading Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings.
  • Experience with performing detailed analyses of complex mechanical and electrical Designs.
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) by the American Society for Quality (ASQ)
  • Solid working knowledge with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience working with reliability software tools. such and Windchill Risk and Reliability, ReliaSoft, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and ensure compliance to our problem elimination process through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions to ensure improvements are implemented.
  • Conduct Failure Review Boards (FRB)s and collaborate with responsible engineering authorities to ensure data brought to FRB is clear and well defined.
  • Conduct Failure Rate Predictions, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability Block Diagrams of systems to identify failure causes, consequences, likelihood, detection, and prevention.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues, resolve sustainment challenges, and inform product design decisions.
  • Assist in defining reliability and maintainability tests of military systems and equipment
  • Adhere to strict customer driven reliability standards and guidelines.
  • Interact with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership. Compile and present status at the program level.

  • Active and transferable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with leadership teams; solving problems and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
