Honeywell is looking to improve fixed equipment reliability at their South Bend, IN facility by applying Reliability Engineering principles and statistical data analysis.
Requirements
- Ability to analyze data from equipment history records (SAP, work order system, equipment files, vendor research) as basis for reliability plans
- Extensive experience in Fixed Equipment reliability (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, relief devices, piping systems, and utilities-related fixed equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, hot oil systems, water treatment)
- Good proficiency in use of Microsoft products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio or other CAD (Computerized Aided Design) systems
- Implementing new techniques and technologies, such as equipment reliability, predictive maintenance, etc. to continuously improve department operations
Responsibilities
- Facilitating investigation of keynote failures associated with fixed equipment and materials of construction
- Bringing in additional materials or other experts as necessary to resolve issues
- Maintaining Design Standards for Fixed Equipment and materials of construction
- Work closely with inside and outside customers to maintain the Production equipment
- Responding and appropriately assessing issues in the plant including off-hours
- Knowing when, where and how to resolve issues to minimize production downtime and ensure safe and environmentally responsible action is taken
- Overseeing Capital Projects
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 4 years hands-on reliability engineering experience in heavy industrial settings
- In lieu of a degree, 15 or more years of relevant experience may suffice
- Self-starter and effective at leading teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety
