Texas A&M University's Psychology Department is seeking a Senior Research Associate to conduct independent research, prepare funding proposals, maintain equipment, and train personnel, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the department's research objectives.
Requirements
- Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
- Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software.
Responsibilities
- Designs, plans, conducts, and coordinates research experiments and projects, ensuring effective execution and evaluation throughout all phases.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques of routine and non-standard research, keeping detailed records of data.
- Use computer and laboratory equipment to perform statistical and technical analyses of research experiments, summarize results for interpretation and reporting.
- Recommend project guidelines, procedures, and policies to ensure research activities align with institutional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establishes, installs, maintains, operates and/or repairs research equipment.
- Utilizes summarized results in scientific and/or clientele-oriented publications.
- Identify funding opportunities, lead proposal development, and manage financial accounts related to research projects and grant submissions.
