Capella Space is looking to solve the problem of providing high-resolution, timely Earth insights through advanced SAR satellite technology and space-based signal intelligence. The Cloud Signal Processing Engineer will contribute to architecting scalable DevOps pipelines, performing RF signal analysis, and advancing InSAR capabilities to develop novel processing methods, ensure data quality at scale, and serve as the technical lead for workflow design and automation, ultimately delivering groundbreaking capabilities to customers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in signal processing, such as SAR, InSAR, RF systems, or related fields
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Git, and Linux, with a focus on developing and deploying scalable systems in cloud environments
- Deep expertise in AWS—including architecture design, data storage, compute orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience developing cloud-native ELT data pipelines and integrating SQL and NoSQL databases for large-scale processing
- Proven ability to design, optimize, and maintain distributed data workflows leveraging modern cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, Step Functions)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and familiarity with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency with GPU programming and/or high-performance computing environments
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of scalable ELT pipelines for SAR and metadata products
- Perform advanced RF signal analysis and troubleshooting across payload and ground systems
- Support development and validation of InSAR and SAR data products at scale
- Prototype and evaluate new algorithms for next-generation signal processing capabilities
- Define quality assurance standards and methodologies for signal processing workflows
- Serve as the DevOps technical lead on project teams, ensuring reliable and efficient operations
- Provide senior technical guidance and mentorship within the Future Capabilities team

- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated success collaborating across cloud, software, and systems engineering teams
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
