Requirements
- Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Robotics and Controls SW Engineer-related occupation
- C++ software development in a real-time, safety critical environment
- Experience with algorithmic, control, mechanical design discussions and code reviews
- Experience with developing validation testing methods, test validation protocol and conducting compliance Assessment and system level validation
- Experience with regulatory filings such as FDA 510(k) in accordance with Quality guidelines
- Experience with kinematic & dynamic analysis, motion generation, control algorithms, dynamic system response, tracking performance
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and test robotic and control algorithms for complex electromechanical surgical systems
- Create requirements, specifications, and architectures for system and subsystem performance based on fundamental analysis and data-driven techniques
- Prototype and develop novel solutions for robotic-assisted surgical systems
- Lead technical discussions in support of new feature development across the robotic surgery enterprise
- Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure solutions align with requirements and minimize risks
- Develop algorithms and production-level software
- Support robotic functions such as kinematic & dynamic analysis, motion generation, control algorithms, dynamic system response, tracking performance, rigorous software development etc
