Grafton Sciences is building physical general intelligence — autonomous systems that can experiment, reason, and discover in the physical world. The Senior Robotics Engineer will design, build, and deploy advanced robotic systems for autonomous experimentation, assembly, and manipulation.
Requirements
- Strong background in motion planning, kinematics, robot control, or dexterous manipulation, supported by real systems work.
- Demonstrated ability to take robotic systems from prototype to reliable operation, including hardware–software integration.
- Experience working with industrial arms, mobile manipulators, force/torque sensors, or precision automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate motion planning, kinematics, control, and perception pipelines into robust robotic behaviors.
- Design, prototype, and refine end-effectors, tooling, and manipulation strategies for complex, real-world tasks.
- Implement safety, calibration, and system-level logic for reliable autonomous operation.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, automation, and AI/ML teams to bring robotic systems from concept to deployment.
Other
- Comfort working hands-on with hardware and owning complex robotics tasks in a fast-moving, interdisciplinary environment.
- Above all, we look for candidates who can demonstrate world-class excellence.
