Requirements
- Comprehensive applied experience developing and executing protein-protein binding Biosensor assays, including surface plasmon resonance (SPR), to characterize biotherapeutic candidates.
- Experience with the biotherapeutic drug discovery process
- Experience with Biacore, Carterra, Octet, KinExA, or LigandTracer Biosensor instruments and applications are highly preferred.
- Post graduate laboratory research experience in an industry setting collaborating with interdisciplinary biotherapeutic discover teams.
- Experience with automation and database workflows.
Responsibilities
- Characterize biotherapeutics by developing Biosensor assays, triaging early-stage hits, assisting lead optimization, and candidate selection.
- Rigorous analysis of kinetic biomolecular binding interaction data and detailed reporting that impacts project portfolio advancement.
- Present Biosensor data at multidiscipline project team meetings and regularly contribute strategic recommendations that progress programs.
- Develop and implement innovative value-added Biosensor assays, explore novel technologies, and new instrumentation that expand capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help accelerate the pace of discovery to support multiple research areas.
Other
- A PhD with 0-3 years or MS with 7+ years of relevant experience in Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and data management skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt within a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovation driven scientific research environment.
