Pure Storage is seeking to secure its industry-leading data storage products by hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager for the FlashArray Core Security Team. This role will lead efforts in data security and product innovation, balancing robust security with rapid delivery of market-leading solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of systems software development experience with languages like C/C++/Java.
- Proven track record of understanding deeply technical details.
Responsibilities
- Own the security strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of products.
- Deliver on security initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with overall business objectives and product goals.
- Provide architectural and design guidance on security-related features.
- Help the team solve complex technical challenges.
- Iterate in an Agile environment, focusing on short cycles and continuous feedback loops from customers, and incremental improvements to development processes.
- Ensure a high standard of end-to-end quality and contribute to improving the overall security posture of Pure’s products.

- Lead and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Manage and grow a team of talented software security engineers. This includes coaching, performance management, hiring, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Execution and Delivery: Be an "execution hammer" with a proven ability to deliver multiple, complex, multi-team projects concurrently.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders, including other development teams in the Core Platform Business Unit (CPBU), the Global Information Security Office, Legal, and Product Management.
- Proven People Management Skills: Experience with managing people, including promotion, performance management, and mentorship.
- Bias Towards Action: A proactive and assertive approach is non-negotiable.
- Project Delivery Expertise: Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects that involve multiple teams.

- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
