Raytheon's Operations and Mission Analysis Department is looking to hire a Senior Simulation Analysis Engineer to join its Airborne Kill Chain AI/ML team. This role will involve working with high-fidelity missile simulations to construct decision support systems for warfighters, analyzing complex threats, and defining new capabilities to counter them.
Requirements
- Experience scripting/programming in MATLAB and/or Python
- Experience in at least three of the following areas: Simulation modeling, development, and/or analysis of physical systems; Systems engineering life-cycle model; Probability and statistics; Software development processes and/or object-oriented design using C/C++ and/or Java; Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) or Surrogate Modeling; Computation on high-performance computing (HPC) grids/clusters
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Prior experience in or with military, or substantive domain knowledge of tools and tactics of warfare
- Producing PowerPoint slides, documentation, or publications.
Responsibilities
- Support/lead the design, development, and/or utilization of high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
- Support/lead trade studies to assess system performance of weapons against a variety of threats in a variety of kill chain scenarios.
- Contribute knowledge of performance engineering practices, and procedures, to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems.
- Contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on varied projects.
- Determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
- Participate/lead in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to power decision support systems.
- Participate in validation and testing models, software components and/or integrated systems.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Support minimal travel (a few trips a year)
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teaming skills.
