illumifin, the nation's leading administrator of insurance services, is looking for a senior leader to manage strategic software client accounts in Health, Life & Annuity (HLA) and serve as Product Owner for core platforms, ensuring profitable performance, long-term client relationships, and delivery of modernization initiatives that align with enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of functional processes across new business, underwriting, in-force administration, billing, commissions, and claims.
- Familiarity with CRM/CPQ (Salesforce), collaboration (Confluence), delivery tooling (Jira/Azure DevOps).
- Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), APIs/microservices, CI/CD; SQL/data mapping familiarity.
- Standards & integrations: ACORD, EDI X12 (837/835/834/270/271), HL7/FHIR; regulatory frameworks (HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA, SOC 2).
- Significant experience in product ownership/management, or business analysis for insurance administration systems (GIAS strongly preferred).
- Proven success negotiating large, multi-year software contracts and navigating legal/compliance reviews.
- Strong analytical skills and process improvement mindset; fluency with KPIs and telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of strategic enterprise software clients; drive satisfaction, retention, growth, and profitable delivery.
- Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships across IT, Operations, Actuarial, Compliance, and Finance.
- Lead QBRs, strategic planning sessions, and executive business reviews; publish action plans and outcomes.
- Serve as the internal champion for production support, new development, and strategic innovation.
- Own backlog prioritization and quarterly roadmap; drive modernization, conversions, and platform initiatives in partnership with Engineering and Operations.
- Provide deep functional guidance on GIAS capabilities, constraints, and architecture to account teams and delivery leads.
- Define acceptance criteria, release notes, and adoption plans; track feature usage, quality signals, and time-to-value.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Insurance, or related field (required). Advanced degree (MBA, MSIS) preferred.
- 10+ years in HLA policy-administration systems or large insurance technology environments.
- 6–10 years in client-facing enterprise account management roles, steering complex portfolios.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Executive presence and exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and C-suite presentations).
