ENSCO is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the Air Force Research Laboratory and provide cradle to grave efforts for space technology assembly and integration, flight operations, and government technology transfer efforts.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and Java
- Experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and flight software integration
- Familiarity with hardware/software integration, including interaction with flight instrumentation, sensors, and other avionics systems
- Proficiency with software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system validation in a flight test environment
- Hands-on experience with debugging and troubleshooting software issues in real-time systems
- Knowledge of military standards and defense industry regulations for software development and systems integration (e.g., DO-178C, MIL-STD-498)
- Experience with DevOps practices, including version control, continuous integration, and automated testing tools
Responsibilities
- Support assembly and integration tasks, including space technology assembly and integration support
- Directly support flight operations, including spacecraft on-orbit operations and experimentation
- Development of forward-looking anomaly prediction and detection algorithms and software
- Development of vehicle fault detection reporting systems
- Support configuration management processes of procedures, scripts, vehicle tables, vehicle parameters, vehicle fault detection and response trees, and ground software items throughout the life of the mission

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Information Technology, computer science or similar from a regionally accredited institution
