Workstand needs to elevate user experiences with deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture to design elegant, performant, and accessible interfaces while shaping how they build software that serves thousands of retailers and suppliers across the cycling industry.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience building modern front-end applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
- Advanced TypeScript proficiency (complex types, generics, architectural patterns)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in collaboration with backend teams
- Familiarity with web standards and accessibility guidelines
- Proven ability to contribute across the stack and see projects through to successful delivery
- Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership on a development team
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of responsive, accessible, high-performance web applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Architect and maintain shared front-end libraries, components, and tooling across multiple applications
- Mentor developers on advanced JavaScript/TypeScript concepts, helping close knowledge gaps and strengthening the team’s technical foundation
- Lead cross-application architecture decisions for microfrontend implementations
- Collaborate across disciplines (backend engineers, designers, product owners) to deliver complete, end-to-end features
- Adapt quickly to new challenges, applying strong problem-solving skills to deliver solutions across the stack — including backend services, databases, infrastructure, or wherever else the need arises
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and system stability
