At Emerson, we're seeking a Software Developer to join our DevOps team to develop high-quality software solutions that enhance our software delivery pipelines and capabilities, supporting development teams worldwide who build DeltaV, our industry-leading process control system.
Requirements
- Skilled in C-Sharp* with hands-on experience using Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio) on Windows OS
- Expertise in Git* source control
- Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell* and/or Python
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure* and Azure DevOps* for creating, deploying, and maintaining Virtual Machines, CI/CD Pipelines, Builds, and Storage solutions
- DevOps experience within the Software Development Lifecycle in enterprise-scale environments
- C++/C* development experience
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance existing software builds and developer environments
- Create and support next-generation cloud-based tools
- Build and maintain our continuous delivery pipeline
- Develop automated processes that expand our CI/CD pipeline and ensure release-ready products
- Create scripts and programs to streamline both routine and complex tasks
- Research, prototype, and implement innovative technologies to strengthen our market leadership
- Leverage the latest tools and frameworks to accelerate business outcomes and enhance our software delivery processes

- Foster innovation and teamwork by partnering with team members, product developers, and leadership
- Engage in agile practices including sprint planning and retrospectives, plus participate in Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice
