Amentum is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission, specifically in the Cyber, Security, & Intel space
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Java
- Demonstrated experience in JavaScript or Python
- Experience with developing Web APIs
- Experience in Amazon Web Services Platforms and Technologies (AWS)
- Experience with AWS Serverless tech: Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo, SQS/SNS
- Experience with other AWS Stacks ECS, EC2, S3, Athena, Kinesis, SageMaker
- Experience in CI/CD Process (GitLab)
Responsibilities
- Manage the full software release lifecycle, from preparation and build to deployment and post-release monitoring
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions
- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance in collaboration with the team
- Analyze existing application processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with developers, testers, integration and operations teams to prepare and produce timely and reliable releases of software components
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
- Create and maintain technical and configuration management documentation
Other
- Active TS/SCI with the ability to gain and maintain a Poly
- Master’s Degree plus 2 years’ experience, Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years’ experience, Associates degree plus 8 years’ experience, or a minimum of 6 years of experience, in a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field
- Ability to work in Springfield, VA
- Participate in code reviews and sprint planning meetings
