SAS is looking to secure SAS9 and keep their customers happy by addressing customer issues, fixing security-related problems, and upgrading third-party software. They also aim to improve current processes for faster and more efficient operations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a developer on large Java software projects.
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Strong experience with Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat.
- PowerShell and Bash Shell experience.
- Experience with Windows and proficient in Linux commands, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cyber security principles (FIPS, TLS, Certificate and Private Key infrastructure, ciphers).
- Ability to write and maintain unit tests (JUnit).
Responsibilities
- Analyze, implement, and assess third-party components.
- Code per specifications and standards.
- Work collaboratively with development, testing, product, operations, and support peers across the SAS9 Division to triage and resolve customer related issues.
- Ensure quality by creating and supporting automated tests with extensive code coverage.
- Scope requirements and estimate effort.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and use them appropriately.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Understanding of software development tools, methodologies, and principles.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience using CVS, Gerrit, Git, or GitHub for source code management and code review.
- Experience with integration and regression testing.
