Requirements
- Proficiency in Java programming and Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with web services (SOAP/REST) and web security protocols (OWASP standards).
- Experience in software testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Insurance industry knowledge is a plus.
- Leadership experience and industry-recognized certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications for business-critical systems, including insurance administration, data collection, and reporting.
- Ensure application security, performance, and stability across all environments.
- Participate in full software development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and model office teams to clarify requirements and refine program functionality.
- Lead technical design and architecture for new projects, guiding coding standards and best practices.
- Support post-deployment troubleshooting and provide on-call assistance as needed.
- Document development processes, project progress, and technical specifications for team and stakeholder visibility.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development for Senior Software Developer; 7–10 years with at least 2 years in software engineering or architecture for Senior Software Engineer.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team across multiple time zones.
