William Blair is seeking a skilled Software Developer to design, modify, test, implement, and maintain software applications.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise of at least 3 years with ADF, Spark, Databricks, Python, Azure Synapse, ADLS, and Azure Functions
- Extensive background in Azure Synapse, including creating and managing pipelines and activities.
- Proficient in working with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Synapse to create multiple pipelines and activities using both Azure and On-Prem data stores for full and incremental data loads into ADLS
- Skilled in using Data API Gateways to extract data from 3rd party applications.
- Capable of designing and building reusable data extraction, transformation, and loading processes by creating Synapse pipelines
- Adept with Azure DevOps and YML scripting
- Competent in utilizing Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, and Runbooks
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Lead and contribute to full software development lifecycle activities.
- Participate in software design meetings, gathering user requirements, and creating technical specifications.
- Lead testing of new and modified software, analyze issues, and resolve bugs.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Develop training tools and documentation for users.
- Monitor industry trends and assess new technologies.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related subject matter required
- At least 6 years in a development/analyst role
- Familiarity with O365 SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Azure AI Services (Preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is an added advantage (Preferred)
- Proficiency in ASP.NET or C is a strong plus (Preferred)
- Background in financial services preferred
- 2 days a week required to be in the office in Chicago
