AMD is looking for an influential software engineer to improve future automation framework, server monitoring and data collection/analysis, and to help write complex test content to be added to their automation frameworks.
Requirements
- Strong object-oriented programming background, Python/Node.JS and similar are a must.
- Ability to write high quality code with keen attention to detail in all parts of the stack (from scripts to gather HW information on a server to data analysis frameworks for TBs of data)
- Experience using frameworks to build scalable architectures as well as writing high performance SW that scales (familiarity with SW applications that manage/monitor/control large HPC labs is a bonus)
- Experience with machine learning to help with data analysis.
- Cloud and in-prem expertise (i.e. ability to use cloud services when needed, but also able to build/deploy in-prem solutions likely based on open-sourced projects)
- Experience with modern programing paradigms
- Experience with Linux and Windows OSs
- Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a must
Responsibilities
- Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future automation framework, server monitoring and data collection/analysis
- Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts.
- Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture
- Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work
- Technical Engage leads on HW and FW teams to help write complex test content to be added to our automation frameworks.
