Cisco is seeking to develop a new networking platform that can learn, adapt, and secure itself at the speed of modern businesses. This platform, called Digital Network Architecture, aims to automate network management and provide state-of-the-art analytics and insights to customers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development using Java, Go, and Python
- 10+ years in systems/platform/infra engineering; 3+ years of operating Kubernetes in production at meaningful scale
- Hands-on Kubernetes expertise (cluster operations, custom resources/controllers, networking/storage/ingress patterns).
- Proficiency in a systems programming and Golang, Java, Python.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and declarative configuration management.
- Security mindset: access controls, workload isolation, and vulnerability reduction.
- Hands on Experience with API management tools, API gateways, Identity and Access Management Protocols
Responsibilities
- Own product areas and lead the development effort for multiple components.
- Providing expert technical guidance on infrastructure, manageability, and distributed systems design and implementation.
- Leading architecture discussions, conducting code reviews, and guiding team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Owning project deliverables, managing schedules, and tracking progress to ensure timely execution.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and security.
- Significantly invest in AI based Engineering and Test practices, and show high productivity gains
- Embodying and promoting Cisco’s culture and values as a role model.

- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Experience across both cloud and on-prem environments.

- Ability to work in the U.S. and/or Canada with a starting salary range of $210,600.00 to $305,100.00
