CVS Health is building a next-generation Infrastructure Platform to empower engineering teams across CVS Digital to deploy code and operate applications at the scale of a Fortune 10 enterprise, serving hundreds of engineers and millions of customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with at least 3+ years of managing and provisioning Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- 3+ years working with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) for traffic management, security, and observability
- 3+ years managing cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including compute, networking, IAM, and storage
- Experience managing TLS certificates, including automated renewal and Kubernetes integration
- Hands-on experience deploying Kubernetes applications using Helm
- Strong understanding of networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, ingress controllers, firewalls, VPN
- Experience building backend APIs in Java or Go
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing a modern, self-service application resource provisioning system.
- Deliver highly scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Lead the implementation of a self-service platform that enables engineers to deploy code safely, quickly, and easily.
- Automating developer pain away by developing a robust compute infrastructure.
- Approach all engineering work with a performance lens and make it easy for teams to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Actively participate in peer code reviews, providing feedback to your fellow engineers to make them better and to improve the quality of the software we deliver.
- Keep an eye out for new and emerging technologies that improve performance, delivery, and the developer experience.
