Akamai's Application Security products need to defend against web application attacks, campaigns, and breaches, and the company is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to help solve technical challenges for customers and improve software quality.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/another related field or its equivalent
- Well versed in developing test automation in any of the following languages: Java, Java Script/Cypress
- Good working knowledge using Oracle databases and SQL commands
- Experience in working with Linux/Unix environment
- Understanding of networking and Web protocols
- Familiarity with LLMs or chatbot platforms
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership for testing your products, creating test strategies, and delivering high quality software solutions
- Using software development skills to develop tools, test frameworks and automation of the testing process
- Designing, implementing, and executing API test automation using Java
- Developing and maintaining UI test automation using JavaScript/Cypress
- Having familiarity with LLMs or chatbot platforms, with experience in building QA tools or generating QA reports
- Collaborating closely with software engineering teams in an Agile environment, contributing to code reviews and product development
- Creating validation framework for end-to-end testing of the system, coming up with innovative ways to test the web threat detection logic
