LifeStance Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Test Engineer (SDET) to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of their software products, driving quality excellence across the organization with a shift-left mentality.

Requirements

  • Expert programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Mastery of test automation tools (e.g. Datadog Synthetic, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages, preferably JavaScript or NodeJS.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Action, GitLab CI).
  • Expertise in designing and executing sophisticated API contract and integration tests.
  • Proven ability to design and analyze performance and load test results to optimize system architecture.
  • In-depth experience with cloud-native testing strategies on AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion the long-term vision and strategy for test automation across the organization.
  • Architect and implement advanced, data-driven test automation frameworks that use AI/ML to identify and prioritize test cases.
  • Lead teams in the design, development, and maintenance of robust automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools for functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Lead and facilitate the 'shift-left' quality strategy across multiple product teams, ensuring that testing is an integral part of the development process from concept to delivery.
  • Develop and execute performance, scalability, and load tests to ensure the software meets performance standards.
  • Drive the automation strategy for a portfolio of business-critical applications, including our web applications and the Salesforce platform
  • Define and report on key quality metrics, with a goal of reducing production defects by 20% year-over-year

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically, it has 8+ years of professional experience in software development automation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
